The Story of “Immortalising Inspiration”
A large art installation was designed and produced for an exhibition curated by Historic England to honour British inspirational figures. Currently part of the permanent Science Museum collection.
This piece uses a large mirror to utilise modern selfie culture, putting the viewer at the centre of the art. It tells the story of Helen Sharman by highlighting that with hard work and dedication, anybody can achieve their goals, and reach the stars, including the viewer. The position of the stars is dictated by the position of the stars at the date, time & location of Helens original space launch.
